Provinces in the Southeast dynamic economic region are simultaneously implementing many important transportation infrastructure projects. When this strategic transportation network is completed, it will create inter-regional connections, not only in terms of transportation but also changing the socio-economic appearance of the entire region.
Dong Nai: Will be the center connecting the Southeast region
With the advantage of "owning" Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh airport), Dong Nai gradually becomes the center in connecting the Southeast region.

Currently, in addition to three national highways passing through the area (NH1, QL51, QL56), Dong Nai also has many key national traffic routes passing through. Specifically, it includes Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. Currently, Dong Nai has proposed to the Prime Minister to expand this highway to 10-12 lanes to meet increased demand when Long Thanh airport comes into operation.

In addition, there are many other expressways preparing for construction, including Bien Hoa - Vung Tau (expected to be completed in 2026) and Dau Giay - Lien Khuong (connecting Dong Nai with Lam Dong) about to start construction. Besides, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City is also being built, connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

According to Dong Nai province's planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, there is also a Thu Thiem - Long Thanh airport railway line. Regarding urban railways (metro), Dong Nai has been coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and the Ministry of Transport to research a plan to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to Bien Hoa City (planned to locate the station at Vung Tau junction area).

Binh Thuan: Economy takes off thanks to removing traffic bottlenecks
The birth of three expressway routes through Binh Thuan today, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay and Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, has helped Binh Thuan remove the "bottleneck" over the past decades. contributing to reducing pressure on the approximately 150 km long National Highway 1 passing through this province.

Having strategic expressways put into operation promptly is the "lifelong dream" of the people of the coastal region of Binh Thuan. Travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet instead of taking 5-6 hours, is now only 3-4 hours.

For the first time, Binh Thuan welcomed 8.35 million visitors, with total revenue of over 22,300 billion VND; Tourism GRDP reached 9,750 billion VND, accounting for 9.11% of the province's GRDP and is one of the 10 provinces and cities with the highest tourism revenue in the country. That result has a huge contribution from key transportation projects. Currently, Binh Thuan is urgently completing the Phan Thiet airport project. This is the next opportunity for the province to "open the sky" to invite tourists and welcome investors. Binh Thuan is also completing coastal roads such as Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh road connecting to the expressway; Road 719B to Ke Ga - La Gi and upcoming Phan Thiet coastal road.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau: The driving force for marine economic breakthrough
In addition to Road 991B that was started earlier, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has simultaneously started many key transportation projects such as Phuoc An bridge project, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Vung Tau - Binh Chau coastal road. . These projects were all constructed day and night, exceeding the set schedule.

The goal of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in the 2020 - 2025 term is to complete the 3 key routes mentioned above. Once completed, the coastal road will connect Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster, Long Son Industrial Park, Long Son Petrochemical with all marine tourism economic areas of this province such as Long Hai, Phuoc Hai, Ho Tram, Binh Chau.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Phase 1, 53.7 km long, when completed, will resolve congestion on Highway 51, creating a smooth infrastructure network connecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau with provinces in the Key Economic Region. the south, creating a driving force for breakthrough development for the local tourism and coastal urban industry, contributing to making Ba Ria - Vung Tau a centrally run city by 2035.

Tay Ninh: Border gate economic center
In Tay Ninh, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project has had its pre-feasibility study report completed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway project (phase 1 from Go Dau to Tay Ninh City) is also implementing route and financial plans.

In addition, a number of traffic projects are focusing on construction such as the inter-line road connecting area N8-787B-789; project to upgrade and expand road DT.795, road DT.794 from Ka Tum intersection to Saigon bridge - phase 2; Road DT.784C (Bau Nang - Bau Cop) and road connecting Tan Nam international border gate (section from Tan Nam international border gate border station to intersection of DT.788 and DT.783), embellishment project Cach Mang Thang 8 street from Quan bridge to Dien Bien Phu...
